Gustavo Asman: New Creative Director

Pyramid is thrilled to welcome Gustavo Asman as our new Creative Director. Originally from Argentina, Gustavo joins Pyramid after two years in Indonesia, where he was chief creative officer at Ogilvy & Mather. Prior to his work in Indonesia, he spent six years at Wing, part of the Grey Group, in New York, so this will mark a return to the U.S. for Gustavo, along with his wife, son, and westie, Mia.
A bilingual writer with a visual mind, Gustavo brings a fresh lens and a collaborative approach to Pyramid. His 22 years of experience as a creative leader enhances our ability to fuse strategy and creative to tell more compelling stories.
So how did Gustavo arrive in Seattle to “give voice to good causes” after two award-winning decades in the advertising world?
“It’s always nice to be recognized with awards and have big wins,” he says. “But above all that, I want to believe that there is a more primitive, basic need to fulfill. I want my son to be proud of his dad; it’s as simple and as complicated as that. I want to lead him by example—not just saying, but doing. So when presented with the opportunity to make the world a bit better on a daily basis, I thought, ‘I’d better take it.’
“One of the best compliments I’ve received about my work is that it’s human, it has heart,” he adds. “Pyramid is the place where I can continue to evolve that work. It’s a nice challenge and an interesting dynamic, where people have solid issue and service expertise and I bring a fresh perspective and background to complement it.”
